Worlds Without End, Part 2

39th of 55 episodes in Sunbow season 1. Written by Martin Pasko. First aired November 5, 1985.

Previous episode: Worlds Without End, Part 1
Next episode: Cobra C.L.A.W.s Are Coming to Town

Flint, Airtight, and Barbecue escape the Dreadnoks. Back at Joe HQ, Steeler is delirious from fever and runs off. Grunt pursues, and they encounter the corpses of their alternate selves (and that of Clutch) before being taken in by the Baroness. Destro captures Lady Jaye, Clutch, and Footloose in a laser net. While Flint's team continues to cause trouble for Cobra, Cobra Commander procures and interrogates Lady Jaye's group and refuses to believe their story that they are from an alternate world.

Grunt and Steeler learn that the Baroness is a double agent who was involved with her world's Steeler. Flint's team is captured in Destro's net; Destro's failure to report the capture angers Cobra Commander, and Lady Jaye's team escapes while he is distracted. The Baroness presents Steeler and Grunt to Destro as prisoners, and they inflame Destro and Cobra Commander's suspicion of each other. On their way to freedom, they and Flint's group reunite with Lady Jaye's team as Cobras gather for a civil war. Finding a portal back to their own world, the Joes return home, except for Clutch, Grunt, and Steeler, who remain behind to take their counterparts' place in the struggle against Cobra.
