Always in the forefront of technology, Destro's technicians have developed a method for inserting troops into totally inaccessible locations. Trans Atmospheric Rapid Global Assault Troopers are deployed into orbit from a shuttle, wearing armored self-contained, bio-system suits and ceramic composite heat shields that double as hang gliders and weapons platforms. Their re-entry over their target could easily be mistaken for a meteor shower—until they start shooting!
"T.A.R.G.A.T.s are quite formidable as assault troopers, but their psychological impact on defending troops is even greater! Who wants to have to fight a person who's crazy enough to turn himself into a human meteor?"

Viper's), two neon red spring missiles (93 Alley Viper's), purple face shield (89 T.A.R.G.A.T.'s), neon red left-foot figure stand (common).
These terror troopers are deployed into orbit from Cobra Invaders wearing specialized, self-contained space suits. The suits contain ceramic composite heat shielding armor that provides coolant safety during atmospheric re-entry. When two or three of them return to Earth at the same time, they are often mistaken for a meteor shower—until they start shooting like typical Cobra terrorists! They are considered to be formidable battle opponents with exceptional firepower capabilities, so next time you see a meteor shower, it might be a good idea to stand beside a G.I. Joe...just in case.
Motto: "If you think sky diving to Earth from a plane is dangerous, try doing it from a Cobra Invader orbiting the moon!"
Toy Notes: UPC 3897681106. Much of T.A.R.G.A.T.'s body is brittle due to the "Gold Plastic Syndrome" that plagued many toys in the late 1980s/early 1990s.
