The battleship U.S.S. Montana is decommissioned, and Hawk finds that its captain, his old friend Adm. Latimer, is bitter over his beloved ship's retirement. During the ceremony, Destro and a team of B.A.T.s board the ship, revealing that Latimer has defected to Cobra. They steer the ship toward Norfolk, Virginia, intent on wiping out the Seventh Fleet.
Hawk orders the Joes to sink the Montana, but the ship is protected by an EMP device, preventing any electronic attack. Hawk then recruits volunteers for an unauthorized mission to steal the wind-driven U.S.S. Constitution. With it they are able to board the Montana and destroy the EMP device, allowing a Naval fleet to destroy the ship. Hawk convinces Latimer to abandon ship with the Joes and turn himself in.

- The episode's production number places it between The Invaders and Cold Slither, so it may have originally been conceived as a season-1 episode with different featured characters.
