Military Specialties

Many filecards make a show of following military protocol when it comes to Army MOS and related personnel management systems. Some even list the codes, such as 11B for Infantry, although several fictional designations appear, such as Fuselage Art Designer and Deforestation. Unusual is the fact that most characters have two military specialties, and these may change drastically from version to version. In addition, each character has a concept/assignment that may or may not match one of these specialties. (The idea that one person can simultaneously specialize in infantry, artillery, and armor dilutes the meaning of the word specialty.) As a result, most characters will appear in the following lists multiple times, and some of these apply only to one version. Please note that these lists bear only a passing resemblance to actual MOS classification and ignore branch-of-service distinctions. Only the concepts, skills, and specialties listed as such on filecards are included in these lists.
