A Real American Hero, Part 3
The Worms of Death

3rd of 10 Sunbow episodes before Season 1. Written by Ron Friedman. First aired September 14, 1983.

Previous episode: A Real American Hero, Part 2
Next episode:A Real American Hero, Part 4

As Cobra Commander threatens the United Nations, Snake Eyes makes his way out of the crystal mine, carrying a canister of the M.A.S.S. element but glowing with radiation. He befriends a timber wolf and is nursed back to health by a blind hermit. Duke, still unable to recall his captivity, leads an undersea mission to obtain the M.A.S.S. Device's heavy water element. The Baroness leads an ambush of the underwater team but is interrupted by giant tubeworms, forcing a stalemate. Joe and Cobra divide the water element between them. The Joes fail to destroy the Relay Star satellite using a "killer sat," but Snake Eyes returns to Joe Headquarters with the first element. Unfortunately, the canister is booby-trapped with a bomb and unleashes knockout gas as it prepares to detonate.
